When I try to install the game I get to disk 4 and then i get the following error
Feature transfer error
Feature: Assets rez2 Intel
File: D:\setup\data5.cab
Error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)
Is there a way to fix this problem or should I just go and buy another copy.
Thanks

Well last time i myself got that particular error was from a copy of maxpayne 2 from a friend, i own maxpayne 2 by the way, i bought it, its a great game. Take it back if it is defective then even the shops that say they dont give refunds HAVE to give you another copy if it is indeed defective at least they do here.

I tried cleaning it now i got that error over at my dads house so I tried to install it here at my house and everything is the same except so heres what the error said here:
Feature transfer error
Feature: Assets rez2 Intel
File: D:\setup\data5.cab
Error: the action could not be perfomed because of a I/O device error.
Now what does that mean

I'm getting the same problem on disc 1 for file .../pak1.rez

I just got this for my B-Day today and it's a new copy and it won't work. I tried everything I could think of. I cleaned the disc, turned off ALL applications (including Norton) and now I can't think of anything else. I even called EB Games and asked them what I should do and they said close down everything and/or try to go to Microsoft's site and ask them about that. They also said if the problem keeps happening then when they get another copy of MOHPA, they'll trade it in.

Anyone have any ideas about this?? :tazz:

Just tried it in my DVD drive and cleaned the CD again before I used it and it still didn't work...if no one has any other ideas, I'm gonna have to take this back to EB (which is 30 mins away, sadly :tazz: )
