W32.desktophijack, my comps infected please help

Nortons Antivirus says my computer is infected with the W32.desktophijack virus, it cannot seem to remove it so i followed the steps given on this address:

I thought i should also add, I updated my comp with all of the SP1a upgrades except one which wouldn't update but kept failing, that one is the one that updates Internet Explorer 6. Srry i cant find the name of the update, ill post it once i do.


Update name is:

Ok, i fixed the problem, (sortof cheated but i reinstalled windows) this replaced the infected wininet.dll file. :tazz: Great site anyway!
