Alright here I go, first off I tried the forums on the steam site, won't let me post, and nothing concerning my problem can be found there.
My problem is this.
I have Steam, download the silver half life 2 package, got all the games etc.
I've checked my pc specs with the recommended system requirements, and all seems well. But I can only play the older versions of the games, such as CS, CS:condition Zero.
Anything Source, including Half Life 2, CS: Source, Half Life: source will not run on my pc for some reason
I choose the game via Steam, I get the window saying its preparing to play the game, it disapears, my mouse pointer has the hourglass thing by it, saying its loading something or what not. then it stops. In the task manager hl2.exe remains there and does nothing, games will not load up at all!

My PC specs are as follows

Pentium 4 2.8Ghz Proccessor
512Mbs of Ram
and
Intel Extreme Graphics Card (with the latest driver

I'm stumped beyond stumped...

Can someone please help me out here?

Many thanks in advance

---Perhaps I need a newer graphics card? any suggestions with price ranges? in Canadian dollers preferably :tazz:--

Thanks again!

Ur Video card does'nt meet the requirements of the Half-Life2 Engine.
So all Half-Life2 based games won't run.

How much do you think it will cost me to get a card that will run the games?
And what brand of card would you suggest?
