Is it safe to use a free proxy server on Internet and e.g send credit card information over this server? Can someone recommend a free reliable proxy server? Thanks!

I'm not sure Proxy server is a safe internet. It does go over a firewall so the internet can go a lot faster. However, firewalls are here for security.
