home videos on dvd HELP!

i am trying to get my home videos (on a dvd from the camcorder) into windows movie maker......and when i try to import them...it says it doesnt recognize it! HELP!!!!

Does it say no capture device or unrecognised format

yea, it says UNRECOGNIZED format
