Is it normal for a game to want to create a script in your registry, or is this a warning sign the game file is infected with a virus or some other malicious script?

When you install software, they normally put 1 or more regisrty entrys in your registry.

What game are you installing?

Yes, this is usually a normal sign. Some software installs registry keys.
