Hi,
I'm having difficulties upgrading from IE 5.5 tot IE 6 (on a Windows ME machine). I have no clue why my computer doesn't accept the upgrade.
What I do is this: on the Windows update-page I download an install file for IE 6. This install file starts downloading the necessary files and continues installing them. Then, all of a sudden, this installation process stops and I get an error message saying: not all files have been installed. Please try again. And then the same routine starts again.
I have tried upgrading numerous times, also in safe mode, but it doesn't work.
I really hope someone can help me with his.

Have you tried downloading from somewhere other than the Windows update site?

I don't know too much about the following site, but you could give it a try:

http://www.softwarep...6wdownload.html

Otherwise, search Google for "IE6 download". There are a few sites available.

Hope this helps!
