I have a Dell Latitude CPi in a docking station operated through a multiple keyboard/mouse switch on my home network. Last night the system froze. I tried to reboot, but I only got a beeping sound for a few seconds then silence then some more beeping then power off. I pulled the unit from the docking station and tried to boot as a normal laptop. The lock lights flashed on and off while the system beeped, stopped beeping and blinking for a second then resumed blinking and beeping then powered off. I pulled the hard drive out stuck it into another lattitude and it works fine. I have tried to boot without the battery but with the cd drive, boot with the batery and a floppy with a setup disk, boot without anything including the ethernet card. I have even tried booting with an external mouse and keyboard. It hasn't rattled about, so I don't think anything has come loose. It has been in the docking station for a long time.

I have been able to bring up the initial loading screen showing dell and the Bios, but the system stops there and the hard drive isn't seen. The hard drive is good though, since I have put it into another laptop and can get at it there.
