Allright i got a webcam and when installing i get this problem

Posted Image

So i continue anyways and when i try to start the program up i get this error....

cannot find Vcapture::IAMstreamconfig, hr=0x80004002

The program the disc is trying to install is AMCAP....

So i think it's my computer blocking some parts from being install'd that's what that message is...so how would i turn windows logo tester off.......or is that even the problem? I'm so lost... :tazz:

Hi Mad-Skillz...Welcome to G2G!

Sounds like your webcam's drivers are not compatable with your version of Windows XP. You might try going to the manufacturer's website and download the latest drivers for your cam. If you need help, post back with the information on your camera and I'll see if I can help you find the correct drivers.

Maybe your USB port isn't 2.0 compliant which the web cam may need...Just a thought

Hey Mad-Skillz...

I'm still searching knowledge bases, but it is starting to look like this webcam may be designed to run on Linux systems only...I'll keep looking.
