First of all, SN9C101, is not model no. of the webcam. Its the model no. of the USB controller on the webcam.
So the driver wannabe1 has suggested maybe wrong, becuase that USB controller is used by many webcams.

Secondly, Its not a Linux cam. I know u guys have been searching google. But if u see the webpages propely its its says SN9C101 (the USB controller not webcam) is incompatible with Linux. (Refer: link, the page header says Linux Incompatiblity List)

U need to give some more info. about the webcam.

I think the driver for the USB controller(on the webcam) is missing and thats the reason the webcam driver is not installing.
Try this driver:
Link
Its the driver for the USB controller, install it.
Then install the driver for the webcam (from CD u got) again.

All that link gives me is.

Is there another link with the same download? or just tell me what to put in the seach and whatnot and what to download and ill try it.

Actully dude...could you do me a huge favour could you just put it in a rar and upload that to yousendit.com or somekinda uploading site so i can get it? that sites not working well with my comp.

Kay yeah that driver worked, right on. but uhhh how do you use AMCAP? like how do you take pictures?

That was just the driver for the USB controller on the webcam.
Now install the webcam drivers, like how u were trying before u posted here.
Did it come with a CD?

haha yeah i did i uninstalled the stuff, installed that driver for the link you gave me, then put the disk in installed AMCAP then installed the drivers it comes with and it works now...even though though that driver you gave me was for the 102.....which is weird cuz mines a 101...but meh it works so thats good...but how do yo take pictures using AMCAP?
