;) I would like to get a graphics card that I can use to play the newer games at about medium setting and let me be able to play new games for a while. I would be willing to pay $200 on it. I will attach a Everest report to help. I have a PCI and AGP ports. Thanks in advance for helping a clueless person :tazz: .

You wont need to spend that much, i would search online for anything about 128Mb. http://www.newegg.comis a good site but i know there are others. 256mb (around 200 dollars but it will keep you happy longer) and 512mb (i think is kinda pointless for another 9 months) are the other two cards. ati.com and nvidea both give sites for prividers.

hey thats a nice card for the price... i saved you about 140 dollars i expect a check. the only thing is make sure your port is AGP 4X/8X and if thats it then you are good. Just dl the driver from ATI.com when you install it and dl direct x9.0c or what ever it is. enjoy the games, and the left over money (that will allow you to buy more games)

Dude we have banned people for the ATI suck stand point, dont bash what people have or are buying unless you know there is a better peice of hardware comparable to what the person has selected. And considering that ATI card make up the system with the most powerful graphics in the world they can hardly suck. http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814125206 this will last you a bit longer, performs similar to a 6600GT and you will get the more advanced shader effects. That one also has the gigabyte heatpipe cooler which means that the card is silent, you need to have a decent flow of air in the case if you dont you can get an akasa exhaust blower fo a fiver. I know it is more expenisve but its still alot under what you were willing to pay and it os probably the best you can get without going above the 200 mark.

Right when i looked at the report it just said you had AGP but when i looked up your computers motherboard i could only find something on the HP website and it said it didnt have any AGP ports, and asus make no mention from what i have read it was a made for HP and walmart and neither seem to have agp ports. Get cpu z and see if that can detect and agp slot it should tell you the speed as well.

Im afraid then it looks like those websites were in fat correct when they said you dont have an agp slot. to triple check you can always try sandra lite but i dont think you have the agp slot.
You are stuck with one of these: http://www.overclock...200_Series.html
http://www.overclock.../FX_Series.html
An improvement on integrated but they arent really very good, you wont be playing any new games, fraid its a new motherboard as well if you want an AGP or PCI-E gfx card or just a new pc entirely.

It says under expansion slots
AGP (8h) PCI 32-bit +3.3V PME Half-Length Available

But if it is AGP then why does it say is it PCI? THis is confusing :tazz:

I think I am going to get a http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814150040 now since I am restricted to PCI but I don't know if I have enough power :tazz: cause I need at least 350 Power supply.
