3-12-04-- Update: Can't download the HIJack This file either!!! Tried Rebooting to no avail. Tired going directly to their link, to no no avail!!

As of today, I CAN download internet files in .rtf format, but NOT the same files in Word, Excel, or .pdf.

This was not an issue yesterday-- I rebooted twice with no positive results. Also sent a link to someone who had no problems downloading the file.

I have been having lots of lock ups in Word files especially, and almost daily, when I am printing off the internet, it locks me up and disconnects the network printer; also getting almost a bi-weekly fatal system error, and a couple weeks ago, a message about VxD files.

Our in-house computer guy has not been able to resolve the issue to date, and it's starting to seriously impact my work-- need to download lots of info this week to file EPA reports!! HELP!! Thanks! <_<

Let us take a closer look at what is running on your PC. We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool (HiJackThis) and post a log back here with the results.

Click the HijackThis Guide in my signature, download it and follow the instructions in the guide.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.
