i just installed a new firewall program b/c my McAfee trial was about to expire and i have everything uninstalled except the firewall. it keeps popping up an error message saying INSTALL.LOG not found or something like that. i need to get rid of mcafee firewall b/c it keeps blocking my other firewall even after i stopped the program and this is getting really frustrating :tazz:

Then, you are going to have to re-install the trial software and remove EVERYTHING this time rather than just certain parts..

That's what I thought.. The Security Suite MUST be installed in its entirety all at once.. When you un-installed the av only, that wiped out the uninstall.log.. thus the error message!!

No.. install everything and then uninstall everything together.. The Security Suite itself should have an uninstall program.. If not in Add/Remove then in the Security Suite in the Programs folder in Start..
