hizz....

thanks for the advice... btw, i would like to recommend a software call HFNetChkPro4 which actually scan ur systems to notify u wat windows patches are need... and i think this is a free program too... i think the company will send a licence key to make it a limited edition software... but i think its very sufficent for personal and home usage..

hhm.... can i delete "the cleaner" software now? i think i do not need it anymore rite?
hehe....

another thing i would like to ask... it seems like this polall1r prob came up after i installed the pc-cilin i have just bought... upon installing the software, it prompt mi to uninstall zonealarm as it will be installing its own firewall, i persoanlly suspect that the firewall may have some holes in them. i guess one lesson i learnt is to install back zonealarm rite after installation of pc-cilin as a 2nd layer of protection. wat do u think?

anyway, i am sending my hijackthis log file one last time for some final checks..

thanks

You can delete the cleaner, but it's free for 30 days, so I would just keep it on there in case you need it again. You can't get another free trial version.

You don't need two firewalls - and from personal experience, uninstalling ZA is very, very difficult.

I haven't hard of that program you're recommending, and I don't have time to check it out now, but you should be cautious about using free programs without checking them out. The worst logs we look at are people who use "free" programs to fix problems - and what eventually happens is the free programs cause more problems because they have malware attached to them.

There is a site that analyzes those types of programs, but I don't have the site on-hand. I will research it for you and get back to you.
