This in Yahoo
Each of the Yahoo! Essentials product installations can be uninstalled separately by using the "Add/Remove Programs" option in Control Panel under "My Computer" on your desktop. These products are listed individually as Yahoo! Companion Toolbar, Yahoo! Messenger, Yahoo! Login, Yahoo! Internet Mail, and Yahoo! Messenger Explorer Bar.
To reset IE settings you can do the following:
Reset Search - Click the "Customize" button from the Search pane and choose another Search option.
Reset default email - Go to the "Tools" menu, choose "Internet Options" and click the "Programs" tab. Click the "E-mail" drop-down box to choose your default email client.
Start Page - Go to the "Tools" menu, choose 'Internet Options' and click the "General" tab. You can change your home page setting from this dialog box.
You can also go to the "Tools" menu, choose "Internet Options" and click the "Programs" tab. From this dialog box there is an option to reset your Internet Explorer settings to all of their original defaults.

Click start, search look for Yahoo, include hidden and system files, remove any Yahoo entries, reboot, run the PC for a while before emptying the recycle bin
If you get, access denied or file in use, click start, run, type msconfig then press enter then start up, remove ticks from Yahoo, click apply, reboot, try to remove the Yahoo entries

It will show up in the search, you can either leave it or remove all of the Yahoo entries, especially if it isn't a big download
