Can Sonicstage be replaced with Roxio 6?

I've bought a new Sony Vaio Laptop and have learned how cheesy Sonicstage is. It's too late to return the computer to the store and I'd like to delete Sonicstage and install Roxio 6 without unleashing the hounds of [bleep]?

Since my Sonicstage software came factory preinstalled, the consensus is that Sony has "pulled a Microsoft," i.e., I'll just have to learn to live with this.

Does anyone know a brilliant solution to this unexpected (and totally surprising) pain-in-the-neck?
