Hey. I read your process, and this is what i have so far:
I ran CleanUp!, Enwido, Microsoft Antispy, Norton AV, Trojanguard, and Spybot S/D. Nothing has worked. It cut down on the number of interruptions, but i am still running, on average, 50-60 processes and running at 50 - 75% usage. I have downloaded hijack, and have the logs. just need to know what to do from here. THANKS!!

Unzip it to the desktop but do NOT run it yet.

Please download Intermute's CWShredder from here:

• Save it to the desktop.

Start--> Control Panel--> Add or Remove Programs--> Uninstall (if found) any instances of:
Windows AFA Internet Enhancement

Then reboot your computer.

Scan again with HijackThis and check the following items:

After checking these items, close all browser windows except HijackThis and click "Fix checked".

Make sure all hidden files and folders are visible (Instructions )
Reboot your computer into safe mode (Instructions)

Once in Safe Mode, please run LQfix.bat.

Find and delete this file and folder (if they are still there):
C:\WINDOWS\VCMnet11.exe <= this file

C:\Program Files\Media Access <= this folder

Go to start > run and type: cleanmgr and click ok.
Let it scan your system for files to remove.
Make sure Temporary Files, Temporary Internet Files, and Recycle Bin are the only things checked.
Press OK to remove them.

Reboot your computer back into normal mode.

Run Panda's online virus scan and perform a full system scan: Panda ActiveScan

Save the scan log and post it along with a new HijackThis Log in your next reply.

You also have the latest version of VX2. Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

• Click "Fix" to remove the CWS infection.

Make sure all hidden files and folders are visible (Instructions )
Reboot your computer into safe mode (Instructions)

Find and delete these files and folders (if they are still there):
C:\WINDOWS\woinstall.exe <= this file

Go to start > run and type: cleanmgr and click ok.
Let it scan your system for files to remove.
Make sure Temporary Files, Temporary Internet Files, and Recycle Bin are the only things checked.
Press OK to remove them.

Reboot your computer back into normal mode.

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so!

I tried running the #2 option 3 times. each time, after the reboot, the program screen comes up, i enter 2, and the icons dissapear. I let it sit for a LONG time, and each time, it never comes back with a notepad. also, the icons never come back. i end up ctrl-alt-del to get the taskmgr up, and restart from there....tried it 3 times now, and let it sit for up to about an hour and a half. do i need to wait longer? thanks.

Also, the system is running MUCH faster already. i can tell its working.

Please download the newest version of L2mfix from one of these two locations:

I did the hijack and downloaded the l2mfix again. when i ran it this time, and error came up after i entered #1, and said:

Then it gives me the choice of Close or Ignore. I had to hit ignore twice, and got this log:

Download and install Visual Basic Runtime.

Reboot your computer.

Download again L2mfix from one of these two locations:

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for [b]Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so!
