I had to back up several times my pst files between laptop and desktop.

Just today I noticed something quite odd. I don't have any idea how but my outlook pst files doubled in size from 1.8 G to over 3G in just 48 hours. Now I cannot fit the backup on my trusty thumb drive.

How did this happen????

I regularly backup and first time in two years this has happened

Use the compact folder feature in outlook and then 7-zip the files.

Any suggestions as to how my pst file doubled in size? I can say with certainty it wasn't new activity
