[FONT=Arial][SIZE=1][COLOR=red]I have had a problem for about 5 days! My husband turned the computer on and up popped the runtime error for internet explorer. when you click on the ok button...the screen goes blue and locks up. Furthermore...since then there has been a severe case of trojans, spyware, virus threats, and any other bugs that you can possible imagine...if you leave the runtime error message on the screen and just move it over to the side...things still function, but are becoming increasingly slower and harder to manuever through. I downloaded hijackthis and here is my scan results.

Hi Kidcar. Welcome to GTG. :D

You Have a CoolWebSearch Infection.
Please Download CoolWebShredder, from http://www.geekstogo...=download&id=17 and save it for now. We'll get back to it later.

First, we need to remove the pepper trojan. Download this file, run, and let terminate (it'll just blink briefly on your screen and won't appeared to have done much--this is normal):

Reboot and go to CWShredder. Extract it & run the program. Click the Next Button & let it scan. Make sure you let it fix all CWS Remnants.

Please delete your temporary files by deleting all files and folders that are in those folders (do not delete the temp folder itself) like for example
C:\WINDOWS\Temp\
C:\Temp\
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp\
Also delete your Temporary Internet Files, be sure to also select delete all offline content.

Reboot


Afterwards, Please Post a fresh Hijack This log - majke sure you use a new version. The old version doesn't pick up the newest threats. You can download it from my signature. <_<
