Hello
for the last 4 days am having probs using my computer.. It's always left on and I just move the mouse to 'liven' it... sorry I'm not a tech person.. but can follow instructions so pls help me..

It freezes after a couple of seconds and then I have to reboot it,.. up to 4 times but sometimes after the 2nd time I get a 'windows msg' saying :

c:\windows\logfiles\watchdog\050815_1406_01.wdl
ERROR Sign:
SzAppName: Drivers.Display szAppVer:1002515900000A1002
szModName: ati2dvag.dll szModVer: 6.13.10.6071 offset: AB3106EA

Possible Device Failure:

The driver for the display device was unable to complete a drawing operation.
Please check with the device manufactureuer for a driver update (COULDN'T FIND WHAT I'M MEANT TO).

The display driver:
RADEON 7000/RADEON VE seems to be responsible for the system instability.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++

And sometimes it comes up with an error about the mouse driver. And then, like now, it works!!! but I've been trying to use just word for the last 2 hrs!!! and it kept crashing....

also...this never happened before.
Any help I wld really appreciate as I have only user knowledge....pls help me

MANY thanks in advance

Click start then run, type sfc /scannow then press enter to replace the system files, you need the XP CD and get a blue bar, when the bar goes, reboot

Try Microsoft Update here

http://update.micros...t.aspx?ln=en-us

If you get SP2 and .net framework install the ATI drivers from ATI site
