I need help putting either a password or some sort of block on my shared files over a network.

I have two computers, A & B. I'm the only admin on both.

I don't need extreme security, just protection from someone else within my household finding the documents or whatever.

If there is a way to either.. block the other accounts on the two computers from accessing those files on the network or the actual network itself, could someone tell me?

Go to my documents and create a new folder, right click it then click properties then sharing

It should say Windows has disabled remote access, if not, click sharing and security then, if you don't want others to access your files

Yes, but wouldn't that make it impossible for my other account on the other computer to get to the files on the network?

I want my two accounts to be able to access each other's files while no other user on either computer can access them.

Yeah..get Folder Lock..i recommend it...its quite good. It can hide your files. Even by using the window search file function , you cannot find the files "locked" by this program. :tazz:
