O12 - Plugin for .spop: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Plugins\NPDocBox.dll
you can leave this

O16 - DPF: {56C9629A-C33F-11D3-BBFB-00105A1FAD68} - http://eyetide.com/d...e Installer.cab
you can remove this

O23 - Service: BrSplService (Brother XP spl Service) - brother Industries Ltd - C:\WINDOWS\system32\brsvc01a.exe

O23 - Service: LexBce Server (LexBceS) - Lexmark International, Inc. - C:\WINDOWS\system32\LEXBCES.EXE

It's best to remove any program using the uninstaller that came with the program. So don't use HijackThis for it.

I'm back, thanks to darth_ash :tazz:

We will try something different.

Follow the steps below:
  • In your BIOS set CD-ROM as 1st Boot Device.
  • Insert XP Setup CD, to boot from CD.
  • After the initial loading of drivers is over, on the Welcome to Setup Screen with 3 options; Press R key, to "Repair XP installation using Recovery Console".

Below are two ways to recover from this problem from the Recovery Console, use any one of them.
Use Method 1 only if you downloaded SP2 and installed it.
Use Method 2 if you have installed SP2 from CD and you have the CD; or if you haven't installed SP2 at all.
  • Method 1:
    Type the following commands:
    cd\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386
    copy userinit.exe c:\Windows\System32
    .
  • Method 2:
    Type the following command:
    expand x:\i386\userinit.ex_ c:\windows\system32\userinit.exe.
(where x: the drive-letter of your CD-ROM drive and c: is the partition where XP was installed)

I found a " "restore cd" ver 1.1 emachines t2080 for distribution with a new emachines pc only. the restore cd is provided by emachines and gives a complete backup of the software that was preinstalled on the pc at the factory. should the software ever need to be reinstalled, the restore cd will copy the necessary files onto the hard drive. the cd will only work with an emachines pc. Keep the restore cd and all the emachines computer documentation in a safe place." its a 2 disc set, will it able me to copy individual files off of it? I haven't tried yet because i'm not sure if there should be another disc i should look for.

This morning when I turned on my computer, I got an error:

"lsass.exe application error. The application failed to inititalize properly(0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application."

Restart in Safe Mode with networking:

"Services.exe application error. The application failed to initialize properly(0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application."

It let me start Safe Mode with Command Prompts.

I took kids to school came back and windows was on regular. Husband started it somehow.

Is something else still wrong in my PC?

Michelle

Thank you very much for helping with moms pc she was freaking out.

According to darth_ash you can use method 1 first. If that one doesn't do the trick, try method 2.

Please do Method1 from Safe-Mode with Command-Prompt:

Method 1:
Type the following commands:
cd\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386
copy userinit.exe c:\Windows\System32.

In safe mode with command prompt type the lines one by one. Press enter after each line.

When you are done, reboot and let me know what happens.

EDIT:
