Pictures in Outlook Express

Most of the time when someone sends me pictures to my Outlook mailbox, I receive them as a document instead of a picture file. When I open the supposedly attached picture all I get are what looks like a ton of code. Do I have a setting wrong? Please help...bb

Hi and welcome to Geeks to Go. Open outlook express, go to tools, options, security, remove the check mark at "do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could be a virus or potentially harmful..."
