I have just tried to install the driver but an error message comes up saying DRIVER NOT FOUND! REBOOT YOUR SYSTEM AND RUN THIS SETUP AGAIN but after doing so, the same happens.

I dont think it can be the wiring because i have tried 2 different cables running from my PC to my hifi system and still have crackling on both.

Kind regards

If you recently got the PC it is worth asking the shop to have a look at it to check the internal connections are fine, it could be a number of things from wiring to faulty hardware.

Have it checked before replacing the soundcard
