I just purchased the sims 2 my old video card wasnt very good so I also got a radeon 9550. I have installed both my video card and the sims 2 and it keeps crashing after loading and giving me an error on my monitor

PC video resolution setting is out of range
Change setting to recommended resolution 1024x768@60hz.

I have done that or so I thought I went to display properties and that what it says. I just dont know what the problem could be.

Please help
