ok im having major issues with my comp lately. Started about 2 weeks ago, when powered on or restarted i get 3 or 4 BSOD,( the stop codes arent always the same btw) sometimes before I can enter my login password for my profile, sometimes a min or two after. Then it seems to run fine until I try to restart when it all happoens again. Some programs also seem to not close when I try to close them with taskmanager.

hoping anyone can assist or give me ideas, i have so far tried a windows repair off the CD, new video card drivers, new ethernet card drivers, reinstalling Ultramon ( i use a dual monitor setup, and one is a touchscreen), run Norton Antivirus scans ( come back clean), ErrorDoctor scans ( fix any problems found), ran CleanMyPC Registry Cleaner (fixed any problems found). And so far nothing seems to have fixed it.

here is a HJT log, I have seen people use these alot here as I have scanned this forum before and tried suggestions when it has come up on a google search.

ok, thought my post had got removed, but i expanded the search to check all forums and i see it just got moved. Ok, does anyone have any idea what may have caused my dilema?

One theory I'm having is this, ok I wanted a dual monitor setup. My work had given me 4 old G3 blue and white powermacs. So the macs being basically useless to me, I saw the graphics card worked fine when booted up. I removed the graphics card from the mac and installed it into my newer Dell P4 comp. The graphics card from the powermac was a Ati Rage 128, and the current card which is in the computer is a Ati Radeon X300, which in itself is capabble of dual montior support with a $30 adapter to plug in the second, but i didnt know that at the time.

My computer booted fine with both cards installed but would only recognize the Radeon x300 and never actually recognized the Rage 128. I did happen to find a driver that was suppose to be written to use the Rage 128 with Windows XP. Some of my stop codes when I get BSODs indicated I needed new video drivers, but I have switched my radeon drivers to standard VGA adapters, tried to remove anything indicating "ATI", even in the registry, by follwing directions I found on another site. Then reinstalled the Ati drivers that came with my comp from Dell. My stop codes now dont always indicate video drivers, somtimes its Win32k.sys and ntfs.sys and other stop codes like 0x0000008e, 0x000000c2, 0x0000007e and a few more i havent managed to write down or remember.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
