kbradford,

Welcome to the GTG Forums, I will be reviewing your HJT log.
Please read "ALL" of the instructions before proceeding:

You may want to print out these instructions for a reference or you can
save them by copying and pasting them into notepad and saving the text file to the desktop.

This process will take a few steps, please take your time and follow the directions in the order posted.
If you dont understand something please ask before performing any task..

Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

http://www.atribune.org/downloads/l2mfix.exe
http://www.downloads.subratam.org/l2mfix.exe
  • Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe.
  • Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop.
  • Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter.
    • This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log.
  • Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

Thanks,
rstones12

kbradford,

Good job on that... :tazz:

Now we need to do the next part of the fix.

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.
  • From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer.
  • After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log.
  • Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log, and we'll clean up what's left. :)
IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so!

Thanks,
rstones12

kbradford,

OK, a few things we need to do...

Please read "ALL" of the instructions before proceeding:

You will need to update ewido to the latest definition files.
  • On the left hand side of the main screen click update.
  • Then click on Start Update.
  • The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
(the status bar at the bottom will display ("Update successful")
  • Exit ewido. DO NOT scan yet.
Next, please reboot your computer in SafeMode by doing the following:
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, start tapping press F8 key.
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.
Now open ewido and do a scan of your system.
  • Click on scanner
  • Click on Complete System Scan and the scan will begin.
  • You will be prompted to clean the first infection.
  • Select "Perform action on all infections", then proceed.
  • Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report
  • Click Save report.
  • Save the report .txt file to your desktop or a location where you can find it easily.
Reboot your system back into Normal Mode and post the results from the ewido scan report and a new HJT log by using Add Reply

Thanks,

kbradford,

Please read "ALL" of the instructions before proceeding:

Please Download the following tools to assist us in removing this infection!
  • Download WinPFind
    • Right Click the Zip Folder and Select "Extract All"
    • Extract it somewhere you will remember like the Desktop
    • Dont do anything with it yet!
  • Download Track qoo
    • Save it somewhere you will remember like the Desktop
Reboot into Safe Mode
Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

Doubleclick WinPFind.exe
  • Click "Start Scan"
  • It will scan the entire System, so please be patient!
  • Once the Scan is Complete
  • Go to the WinPFind folder
  • Locate WinPFind.txt
  • Place those results in the next post!
Reboot back to Normal Mode!

Double Click on "Track qoo.vbs"

Note - If you Antivirus has Script Blocking, you will get a Pop Up Windows asking you what to do. Allow this Entire Script to Run, its harmless!

Wait a few seconds and a notepad page will pop up, Copy & Paste those results and place them in the next post along with the results of WinPFind!

Thanks,
rstones12

First one is WinPFind, second is Trackqoo:

WARNING: not all files found by this scanner are bad. Consult with a knowledgable person before proceeding.

If you see a message in the titlebar saying "Not responding..." you can ignore it. Windows somethimes displays this message due to the high volume of disk I/O. As long as the hard disk light is flashing, the program is still working properly.

kbradford,

OK, let get rid of this... :tazz:

Please read "ALL" of the instructions before proceeding:

This process will take a few steps, please take your time and follow the directions in the order posted.
If you dont understand something please ask before performing any task..

Download Pocket KillBox from HERE. There is a Direct Download and a description of what the Program does inside this link.

Please open Notepad, and copy/paste the code in the box below into a new text file. Save it as KillQoo.reg (set Filetype to "All Files") and save it on your Desktop.

REGEDIT4

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\ffmxxsts]

[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{34364616-6b7c-4070-a1d7-014b4c26eb68}]

[HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"winsync"=-

Open Pocket Killbox and Copy & Paste the entries below into the "Full Path of File to Delete"

C:\WINDOWS\jjmzz.dll
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\datadx.dll
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\jjeaa.dll
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\rrniiyo.dll
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ssfssfk.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\llsssx.exe

As you Paste each entry into Killbox, place a tick by any of these Selections available

"Delete on Reboot"
"Unregister .dll before Deleting"

Click the Red Circle with the White X in the Middle to Delete!

Restart in Safe Mode and Run those files through Killbox once more to be sure nothing survived.

This time place a tick by any of these selections available

"Standard File Kill"
"End Explorer Shell while Killing File"
"Unregister .dll before Deleting"

Now Locate and DoubleClick KillQoo.reg-> Allow it to merge into the Registry!

Scan with HJT and place a checkmark next to each of the following items:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [winsync] C:\WINDOWS\system32\llsssx.exe reg_run

Now close all open windows except HJT, then click the Fix Checked button. Close HJT.

Reboot your system back into Normal Mode and post a new Trackqoo and HJT log by using Add Reply

Thanks,

Well it doesn't look like I'm getting popups anymore! However, I noticed O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [winsync] C:\WINDOWS\system32\llsssx.exe reg_run got back somehow, as shown by the HJT logs below. I followed your directions to a T! No popups anymore, but here are the logs in case you recommend more! Thanks again!

kbradford,

OK, you did a good job on this. We need to run WinPFind and Trackqoo again... :tazz:
Something is still lingering around...

Please follow the directions as provided...

Thanks,
rstones12

Here's the latest logs! Thanks!
