hi, geeks. i am running on Winxp sp2. today i was checking one of my word docs on the desktop when the power was unexpectedly cut. then i restarted my computer only to find that docs on the desktop and those in the folderMy Documents are missing. i tried two restore points, one of today and of Aug 15 the other, but neither worked. also, during the process of rebooting my computer, disk C: was checked by Windows and i read:"folder DOCUMENTS AND SETTING/LENOVO is entirely unreadable, and the entry will be removed.
how should i do to get my important docs back? thank u so much.

well....looks like electricity and windows took care of making sure you couldnt get to alot of things.....depending on how important those documents were..you can send the drive off to a data recovery company to see if they can recover them....other than that i don't see too many options
