:tazz: When i try to open command.com it comes up with an error message saying: "16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem
C:\windows\system32\command.com
C:\progra~1\Symantec\s32evnt1.dll. An installable Virtual Device Driver failed dll initialization. Choose 'close' to terminate the application."   Then it gives me 2 options; close, or ignore. If I ignore it it works fine but i think something's still wrong.        This also happens when im trying to install some programs. :)

Hi Ktownkatman,

Welcome to Geeks To Go.

For the command.com problem, try this:

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue:

1. Insert the CD into the CD drive or DVD drive.

2. Click Start, and then click Run.

3. In the Open box, type cmd, and then click OK.

4. At the command prompt, type the following commands, pressing ENTER after each command:

expand CD-ROM Drive Letter:\i386\command.co_ c:\windows\system32\command.com

exit

Try that and let me know how it goes

As for your other prob, Click here and have a read, I hope this helps.
