Go to the last tab where it says "startup". That's where it has every program that starts up when you boot your computer. Uncheck the ones that I told you to uncheck.

How is it running? Your log is clean.

Congratulations! Your system is CLEAN <_<

How do you prevent spyware from being installed again? We strongly recommend installing SpywareBlaster (it's free for personal use) Click Here.

Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests.
Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox.
Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.
Consumes no system resources.

Download, run, check for updates, download updates, select all, protect against checked. All done. Check for updates every couple of weeks. If you have any errors running the program like a missing file see the link at the bottom of the javacool page.

It's also very important to keep your system up to date to avoid unnecessary security risks. Click Here to make sure that you have the latest patches for Windows.

These next two steps are optional, but will provide the greatest protection.
1. Use ANY browser besides Internet Explorer, almost every exploit is crafted to take advantage of an IE weakness. We usually recommend FireFox Posted Image.
2. Install Sun's Java. It's much more secure than Microsoft's Java Virtual Machine .

It's okay to delete the Hijack This folder if everything is working okay.

After doing all these, your system will be thoroughly protected from future threats. :D

YES I'm CLEAN!!! THANK YOU!! i think my problem was with Norton. I may have cause some problems when i upgraded to the aol 9.0 security. When i finally figured out that i had no password (with norton) and could just click ok with out entering one i was able to uninstall it. after i did that i stopped getting the "can not be displayed". I only have "Spyware Sweeper" running now along with Mcafee anit virus. Everything seems fine except for when typing i am really dragging. while typing this its running really ssssssss <_< slow. the letters dont come up till i'm almost finished the sentence. do u have any idea's on whats going on???

I dont know what's wrong, but after looking at your log I forgot to mention that you have a great deal of "anti-spyware" programs. I only use anti-virus, a firewall, adaware and spyblaster and I run just fine.

I'm not an expert about how they all play against each other, but I'm a big fan of keeping it simple. Who knows how they all interact with each other.

Like I said, I am not an expert, but doesn't the AOL you downloaded have spysweeper capabilities also?

You have webroot washer, some other washer, etc.

If you follow the "how to clean" instructions, I think you are fine.

We see two kinds of people who come to this forum.

1. Those who download out of ignorance or get caught in a drive-by infection.

2. Those who are clean freaks, which I am a member of who want to be so clean that they clean to death and end up tinkering too much. Luckily, a computer tech. friend of mine caught me in time and put me in a support group.

It's totally up to you what you get rid of, but I think if you just follow the cleaning instructions we posted, you will be fine. All that other stuff just uses up resources.

Your call though - it's your computer.
