Hi there,

I'm having a heck of a time here. My computer just started acting stupid. When I go to restart or shut down, it takes nearly 10 mins for it to go thru the motions. It just starting doing this. I haven't done anything new to the computer in ages, so I have no idea what would cause this. My computer is not a store bought/name brand one, so I don't know what other information you'd need.

Any ideas what's causing this or how to fix it?

Thanks in advance,
Nat

Well, if your computer just started acting stupid, something has happened to it recently. Since you did nothing to it, that suggests viruses, malware, or possibly (although unlikely) a hacker. I need to know what you use for anti-virus and anti-spyware and what type of internet connection you have. You will most likely have to move your request for help to the Malware Removal section, since it looks like it has nothing to do with the Operating System.
