I'm not sure where the best place to post this is because I don't know what the issue is. I think maybe I deleted something from my Add/Delete programs area. I've had some trouble with pop-ups lately and I was deteling things that the pop-ups had added to my programs list. Now I the internet won't open when I click on internet explorer. I can get in by opening up by recycling bin and typing a webpage into the bar. Also, I cannot click on any links and have a new page open. It will continue to the page if it's that kind of link, but if it's the type of link where a new page needs to open, it won't do so. Sometimes the window starts to open and the quickly disappears. One good thing is that this has gotten rid of my pop up issue because the pop ups can't open. hehehe (got to look at the positive side)

Here's my hijack this log incase this helps. If I should post this else where, let me know.

Click Start > Run > type services.msc, then click OK
Scroll down and right click on 'Command Service'
Select 'Properties' and set the "Service Status" option to "Stop"
Set "Startup type" to "Disabled", click Apply, then OK.

now do the same for hgahyai

now close all windows and browsers and click FIX CHECKED

Then go to ADD\REMOVE programs in the control panel and remove :-

Cas
sose

Then boot up in SAFE MODE

Then navigate to and delete these files\folders in BOLD

C:\WINDOWS\Q2hyaVJ1c3MA<----folder
C:\WINDOWS\ZZABENC.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\System32\exp.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\wintask.exe
C:\Program Files\sose<----folder
C:\Program Files\Cas<----folder

This process will clean out your Temp files.

Delete Temp Files
To clean out your temp files, click on Start and then run, and type %temp% and press the ok button.

This should open up the temp directory that your machine uses. Please delete all files that are found there

then reboot and post a fresh Hijackthis log.

Thanks for the help! Here's how things have gone so far:

When I went to: "service.msc" - when did command services, I was able to change it to "disabled" but was unable to cick the "Stop" button. "hgahyai" - was already at "disabled" and also was not able to hit "stop"

I was able to checkmark everything on the highjack this log and delete.

I was unable to find "Cas" and "sose" in the Add/Remove files

When I was in Safe Mode: Deleted all the folders/files you suggested although I was unable to find "exp.exe"

Deleted Temp files without any issues.

I AM NOW ABLE TO OPEN INTERNET EXPLORER AGAIN! THANK-YOU!!!!

JUst a bit of tidying up to do . :tazz:

Rerun HJT,and put a checkmark beside these :-

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [winsync] C:\WINDOWS\System32\s4gddk.exe reg_run

now close all windows and browsers and click FIX CHECKED

Then boot up in SAFE MODE

Then navigate to and delete these files\folders in BOLD (iif there)

C:\WINDOWS\System32\s4gddk.exe

then reboot and post a fresh Hijackthis log.

I was able to delete the thing from the HighJack This log. I was unable to delete the file s4gddk. It said: "Access Denied" and then it said something like, this file may be in in use or may be write protected.

Also, when I start up my computer, a box comes up that says:

"548: qttask.exe - No Disk

There isno disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \Device\Harddick2\DR4."

I have to hit the cancel button three times before the box will go away. Here's my new HiJack This log.

P.S you must be in safe mode or you can't delete it.

Then navigate to and delete these files\folders in BOLD
