Well, it's been 1 week since I got my new harddrive and I already have a Malware infection. When I started Internet Explorer I get a webpage that tells me that my "sensitive information" is exposed to the internet. The url of the message is this "res://C:\WINDOWS\system32\shdocvn.dll/errorAPI.htm#ID=PX8594;" That appears in the address bar.

It's not causing any problems but it is rather annoying that I have to bipass it to get to where I want.

The reason I probably got this is because I didn't update my Windows XP. I'm wondering if you guys can help. Here's my HiJackThis log.

A little update, now whenever I open Internet Explorer it starts with this search engine like page where I can't highlight anything and it asks me "What would you like to start with?". Instead of a search button the button says "Yes!" while under the search space and button there are 5 links that change every time you open a new window.

In the address bar it says this: "res://shdocvn.dll/blank.html"

LOL Thanx for replying at all I thought u guys forgot about me. I guess it never is like that. Don't worry about the late reply it's cool, I know u guys are amazingly busy and DO have a life.

Anyway, the problem is done with, a simple deletion of the files that caused it and regestry "clean-up", as I like to call it. So thanx for asking.
