Please download ewido security suite it is a trial version of the program.
  • Install ewido security suite
  • When installing, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu".
  • Launch ewido, there should be an icon on your desktop double-click it.
  • The program will now go to the main screen
You will need to update ewido to the latest definition files.
  • On the left hand side of the main screen click update
  • Then click on Start Update
The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
If you are having problems with the updater, you can use this link to manually update ewido.
ewido manual updates

Boot into safemode to do this keep tapping F8 on your keyboard while your PC is starting up you will get a menu select safemode.

Open Ewido again
  • Click on scanner
  • Click on Complete System Scan and the scan will begin.
  • While the scan is in progress you will be prompted to clean files, click OK
  • When it asks if you want to clean the first file, put a check in the lower left corner of the box that says "Perform action on all infections" then choose clean and click OK.
  • Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report
  • Click Save report.
  • Save the report .txt file to your desktop.
Now close ewido security suite.

Reboot and Post the report Ewido made and a new Hijackthis log here in a reply.

Hi,

what do you mean let it? I like Kazaa , i would like to keep this program what am i supposed to do? Do i say yes to delete all the files? what files does it delete and why is it impossible to use it after the scan? what does it delete? An other thing, if i start the computer in safe mode will it reset all my screen resolution and all the settings that i put in place? will it come back as it was? Sorry i have so many questions and no answers yet i feel a little bit nervous and the problem with the internet didn't stoped, when i open the page it otomatically open to blank page and after using the net for a while it just stop for no apparent reasons , the scan didn't solved these problems , what should i do next?

Thanks again.

Kazza Media Desktop comes with malware and it does not run with out the malware. On Ewido you say yes to delete all files. When you start your PC in safemode you will have a low screen resloution etc but they will come back when you reboot into normal moide

Hi,

yes Kazaa , i want to keep it even if there`s malware that comes with it , there should be a way to do a selective scan and not scan Kazaa.

Thanks Therock for your patience.

Actually, you would be better off listening to therock247uk here. He is rarely wrong, and this is no exception. He is right.

Ewido finds kazaa as malware, because it pretty much is. It comes bundled with so much crap, that it has become crap itself.

You can choose to keep it, but why try to get clean now when you will just be infected again shortly?

If you want to get rid of it, which I highly recommend, uninstall it, then check out this page for some malware free alternatives to Kazaa.

http://www.spywarein...m/articles/p2p/

As for your question. Can you exclude it, no. Ewido sees it as what it is. You cant tell it to ignore malware. Thats what it does, it removes malware.
