hi and thanks for letting me post.

since last saturday my computer has been running very, very slow.
it takes about 40 seconds to log in and about 25 seconds to open the internet.
i don't know why this is. all my programs are up-to-date.
i've run ms anti-spyware, i've run spyware doctor, norton full system scan and come up empty.
apparently my hijackthis log is clean.
i'm no computer expert this is for sure.
system restore to 1 and 1/2 weeks ago did not fix this either.

my green light keeps blinking and the hdd keeps ticking every 1 - 2 seconds and it's driving me nuts !
anyone able to provide any help ?

i would appreciate it of course cause i'm at a loss.

thanks
michael.
i didn't want to bump my message but hopefully this extra info will be of more help to the savvy experts out there.
please ?
