hi,

I'm really trying to decide whether to get an alienware or a dell. they are pretty much the same, except for the processor and harddrive.

the alienware has a:

2x 60GB 7200 RPM RAID 0 harddrives

Pentium 4 3.6- 3.8 1mb cache - 2mb cache

the dell has:

1x 60GB 7200 RPM harddrive

Pentium M 2.00 or 2.13 GHZ

I don't care about battery life or weight, the only reason i want a laptop is because i spend about a fourth of the year in a differen country, and every weekend i drive to my parent's vacation house.

So the question is: is the difference between the RAID 0 or not significant, apart from the extra 60GB, and which processor is suited better for gaming. thx for any help i get, bye,

Franz

Edit: I'll be using the computer for gaming, and gaming only. Oh yeah, another question :tazz: : Is there a big difference between 1mb cache and 2? thx,

Franz

Alienware is the best. Dell's tend to break down and won't work. :tazz:

For gaming I would suggest Alienware because out of all the 17 issues of PCMagazine I have read almost every game plays better on Alienware!

Well the pentium Ms are really good cpus nice and cool with plenty power and a nice big cache. The cache size is a the bigger the better job, but alienware are the pwnage of laptops.
