Hey Guys! I have been looking at these profiles and saw a person that was 'banned.' Is that like forever or just a limited period of time? Thanks for any help you can offer!!!

Well i think that that person was banned from coming here again, although on another forum that i go to, there is a 'account disabled' type of punishment, which will eventually end, most of them are only banned for 1 month on that forum

If I ban someone, it is permanent. Same goes for other Admins.

We *do* have an option to suspend someone's posting abilities for a set amount of time, but that doesn't show up in their profile like a ban does.

i think "suspended" means temporarily and "banned" means never coming here again.

That is correct. Suspended means that an Admin has temporarily made it so a person cannot post on the forums for a given ammount of time.

Banned means that an Admin has made it so ther person cannot post on the site at all.

That would be correct. However, Global Moderators also have the ability to give suspensions..but only Admins. can outright ban someone. :tazz:

One more question once someone gets banned and after a while he or she proves their inosence can you like 'unban' them?

Proves their innocence? Ummm, I don't see that happening really. We only resort to a ban for a very few reasons.
1. joining only to spam the boards
2. abusive behavior
3. flaming, rule breaking, etc...and then only after they have been warned a few times.

We don't ban lightly, and once we do, you can bet we had the proof and backups needed to justify our decision. :tazz:

Do you know someone who was banned and feels they are *innocent*?? If so, you can pm me about it if you wish to.
