Hi,
Each time I opened a webpage, Avast warning appears "Adware was found" in C:\winnt\bnlsaayzp.exe, malware name: win32: Adan-124. I did yesterday what your website told everyone to do in ditto's excellent post-"Malware Removal". I downloaded Ad-aware SE, CWShredder, Spybot S&D, ewido. Also run Trend free online scan as well as Panda's activescan. I thought it would get rid of all those nasty malwares but only found out they are very much living without hurting somewhere in my computer. What can I do to clear them out. Any help will be appreciated.
Here is my Hijackthislog along with ewido scan. Thanks.

Hi p04u24 and Welcome to GeekstoGo!

That appears to be the Look2me Infection,so please download the l2mfix from here

http://www.atribune....oads/l2mfix.exe
or
http://www.downloads....org/l2mfix.exe

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe.

Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop.

Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log.

Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until I ask you to.

If you recieve any error messages for CMD or Autoexec.bat>> Select Option 5 from the l2mfix and once at the Site,Click on the link that apply to your Operating System!

Double Click the file it downloads and Extract the files to its predetermined System32 folder!

Please go into Safe Mode again!

Run the l2mfix again and this time select Option4 and Save that log!

Still in Safe Mode-> Open the l2mfix folder-> Right Click on second.bat and Select Open!

Let it run and reboot the PC!

Save that log as well!

Post those 2 logs once completed!

I tried to run l2mfix.bat option4-"This is automatic now", but nothing happened. Previously I've run CleanUp, Ewido, Ad-aware in Safe mode. Also I did Panda activescan and downloaded hoster and "restore original hosts.
Here are latest HijackThis log, Ewido log, and Panda activescan report.
Thanks a lot.

OK,looking better, lets see if we can fix some of those errors!

Click Start-> Run-> Type in Services.msc and Click OK!

Scroll that list and locate this entry

Right Click that entry and Select Properties-> Click Stop-> Go up and change the Startup Type to Disabled!

Click Apply-> OK and Exit the Services Page!

Download WinPFind:
http://www.bleepingc...es/winpfind.php

Right Click the Zip Folder and Select "Extract All"

Don't use it yet!

Please download this file: Nailfix Utility
Save it to your desktop.
DO NOT run it yet.

Download dsrfix.zip
Save it to your desktop.
  • Unzip dsrfix.zip and extract it to your desktop.
  • This will create a new folder on your desktop named dsrfix.
  • Do Not open that folder yet.
Please download APT and unzip the contents to a new folder on your desktop.
  • Open the folder you just created and click on apt.exe and search in the window for C:\WINNT\system32\hixcvfy.exe.
  • Open your C:\Windows\system32 folder and search for hixcvfy.exe.
Don't delete it yet, just leave the system32 folder open so you can see the bad file.
  • In APT again, Select C:\WINNT\system32\hixcvfy.exe and Click Kill3
  • Then immediately delete hixcvfy.exe from your system32 folder.
Close APT.

To reboot into SafeMode with Windows XP, you can follow these steps from Microsoft:

Next, please reboot your computer in SafeMode by doing the following:
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, start tapping press F8 key.
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.
Once in Safe Mode, please double-click on nailfix.exe.
Click "Next" in the setup, then make sure "Run Nailfix" is checked and click "Finish".
Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly --- this is normal.

Now scan with HJT and place a checkmark next to each of the following items:

OK,work that entire fix again but this time in Safe Mode!

Instead of looking for this entry in APT
C:\winnt\system32\hixcvfy.exe

Look for this one
C:\WINNT\system32\rjyips.exe

So the fix would read like this now

OK,looking better, lets see if we can fix some of those errors!

Click Start-> Run-> Type in Services.msc and Click OK!

Scroll that list and locate this entry

System Startup Service

  • Open the folder you just created and click on apt.exe and search in the window for C:\WINNT\system32\rjyips.exe.
  • Open your C:\Windows\system32 folder and search for rjyips.exe.
Don't delete it yet, just leave the system32 folder open so you can see the bad file.
  • In APT again, Select C:\WINNT\system32\rjyips.exe and Click Kill3
  • Then immediately delete rjyips.exe from your system32 folder.
