Lacie Hard Drive says "key length too long"

Never had this before. Drive can't seem to be repaired in disk utility because the key length is too long. It won't mount any more. Suggestions?

Hi and welcome go Geeks to Go. If the LaCei disk diagnostics program can't fix it, I suspect it is dead. You can pray over it for recovery, or say a few words over it and put it to rest.
