Can i run nwerer, better looking games like half-life 2 and F.E.A.R using an ati radeon x300 on a p4 with 3.0 ghz and 1 gig of ram? and at what setting level?

is there a difference between a x300 chipset and the ATI Radeon X300SE with 128MB DDR memory; PCI-E (Express) interface because my current card is 128 and can run those games fine on medium-low
