I am getting an invalid syntax error whenever I turn on my computer. It appears to be something that would be received when trying to view a web page, but it shows up on my screen when I first turn on my computer and there is no X to exit from it and get rid of it.

It says "The page cannot be displayed. THe page you are looking for might have been removed or had its name changed.

Please try the following:

Open the overland-PTCE MR 1 2 home page, and then look for links to the information you want.
If you tryped the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.

If you still cannot open the page, click the Internet Explorer Search button to look for similar sites.

Internet Explorer"

I did try to click where it says, but nothing happens and I cannot get rid of this error message. And it is still on my screen after turning the computer off and booting it back up the next time.

How can I get rid of this?

I'd appreciate any help anyone can render.

Thanks and have a great day!!

Let us take a closer look at what is running on your PC. We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool (HiJackThis) and post a log as a new topic in the Hijack This forum. It will get a better response there from the people most qualified to analyze logs.

Click the HijackThis Guide in my signature, download it and follow the instructions in the guide. Also see this post.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.

Please save Hijack This in a permanent folder (i.e. C:\HJT). This ensures backups are saved and accessible.
If you would please, rescan with HijackThis and post a fresh log in this same topic, and let us know how your system's working. <_<
