Hi All,

Is discovered that I have the ss.exe virus (tojan) on my pc. everytime I start my pc up, it start to extract itself with winrar and I get all kinds of error messages (something connected to my pc is not working, could not extract something, close explorer, etc).

My virusscanner (Bitdefender) sees ss.exe and deletes it. When I start up again it's still there.

The problem is I have to work quick because it seems to slow down my machine up to a point that I hardly cannot open any programs.

So far I haven't discovered a removal tool which I can use.

Anyone any Idea how to terminate this problem?

Thanks!

Click here to download HijackThis by Merijn Bellekom. Doubleclick the file, click Unzip and extract the application to C:\HijackThis. Run it from there to scan your computer.

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button. Save the log, Ctrl-A to Select All and post it here for examination. Don't fix anything yet as most of what it lists will be harmless.
