Hello,

Ok, I dont understand this but could really use the help in understanding why and what it is.

My mom was asking me about a certain online screensaver site. So I was looking for that name "trial by error" and a box popped up on my search engine page downloading something.

It went so fast I could not even grab my mouse and stop it.

So I closed down my internet connection, and did a virus check with my NOD32

And when I ask my program to "scroll" while checking it sent this message up:

C:\WINDOWS\WIN386.SWP-error opening (file locked) [4]

So I did a "search all files" for a WIN386.SWP, and it showed that program and that it just downloaded 4 minutes ago (before I scanned puter)

So what is it, why did it download on its own, how did it take control of my NOD32 from scrolling.

Is there any answers to this?

Thanks a bunch!

Hiya again

well the file is the swap file for your OS, but we will need a HJT log to see what else is going on . If you start a topic in malware and post a log well get u sorted. :tazz:
