To restore a previous registry
If you have a windows ME boot Floppy or CD, boot from it and type regscan/restore at the command prompt.
You will be prompted to choose a version of your registry to backup.
Pick a date on which the PC was working correctly.
Once you get her up and running again make sure you have done all the available windows updates (if you havn't already)

At the command prompt type

After booting to floppy
It should work, I believe the Regscan.exe file is stored in this directory in ME
Is there anyone out there who uses ME who can confirm this for mikekaz123

Isn't it scanreg in ME rather that regscan?
C:windows/command/scanreg /restore (Note the space after scanreg)

I am not to sure about what you say but it is defineately worth a go, I could have sworn I have run the command without the space. You may be correct about the name of the command, Google seems to yield results for both.
Are you still there mikekaz123?

I just hooked up a machine running ME to play with. Your command should be:
C:windows\command\scanreg \restore (with the space)
