windows 2000 certificate update

o help
i downloaded new windows 2000 "fix" and now computer upon restarting onlu opens the Documents folder. I cannot run windows updates
i cannot delete the "fix"
i cannot reset computer to last functioning date

What do you mean by "Can't reset computer to last system date"? Do you mean system restore?

nope it doesn't work i tried fixing directory with G2G free tools

i am 48 yr old NON geek :tazz:

It's very unlikely, but it is possible that malware could have installed itself through the update. I suggest going here and following the recommendations there.
