hello. I am not a computer master and i have owned a computer for 5 years. My computer has recently started to get slow from about january this year. currently the programs i am using to protect my self from viruses are mcafee, spybot s&d, ad-aware se, zone alarm pro. I have many problems with my computer but the main problems are popups from adultfriend finder and psguard. psguard opens up on my tasktray when i start up my computer and appears as a red circle with an exclamation mark in the center. i cannot exit it as it does not have the option. I have used all my current spyware and virus removers but they cannot delete psguard. thanks to mcafee psguard has stopped taking over my desktop backround. What do i do. I dont know what to do. Also could you help me get rid of these adult friend finder popups. they come up when i open up the internet browser and they continue to pop up. I use both opera 8 internet browser and the normal browser. I have no problems with opera. please help!!!!!!! thank you for you time

We can definitely help you, but first you need to help us. The first step in this process is to apply Service Pack 1a for Windows XP, or Service Pack 4 if you are running Win2k. Without this update, you're wide open to re-infection, and we're both just wasting our time.

Apply the update, reboot, and post a fresh Hijack This log.
