I just finished cleaning my computer with the help of Geeks To Go and I'd like to delete unwanted items in the msconfig start up menu so that I can return to normal startup. Is this possible? Thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome to GeeksToGo. Sure, follow these steps:

1. Start
2. Run
3. Type "msconfig"
4. Go to "Startup and disable anything you don't want.

I've disabled the items I don't want but when I choose normal startup the items I have deselected try to activate again. Do I have to remain in "selective startup" to keep them deactivated?

You could also try this and see if it helps. Go to start, all programs, startup. Remove any programs that you do not want from that list.
