My computer was frozen yesterday so i resetted it. But during the intial startup the black screen froze and displayed a message "A disk read error occurred" and to press ctl+alt+del to restart. So i went looking around the net until i found out about the "recovery console". I used "fixboot" to create a new booting sector. To my surprise it didnt help me at all but made my problem worst. :tazz:

Now i am unable to pass the initial startup because it stops with the disk error message. Even worst, i cannot boot from my xp cd because it freezes into a black screen before the loading of the setup files.

What can I do?? Is there anyway to overcome this problem because the data i have on my computer it very precious.. :) :)

ps:i posted a previous post before but it didnt help because its impossible to use the following methods in solving this problem...

Thanks alot for ur help
