Can your computers communicate with eachother successfull across the network right now? I'm assuming that your network is up and running good. I believe with the service pack 2 pc you will need to go into your firewall configurations in the control panel and enable printer sharing since it is turned off by default by service pack 2 (From the Start menu, click Control Panel, click Security Center, In the Windows Security Center window, in the Manage Security Settings For area, click Windows Firewall, in the Windows Firewall window, click the Exceptions tab, and then in the Programs and Services section, click File and Printer Sharing. Enable printer sharing.) Next go to control panel, and click Printers and Other Hardware. Under pick a task click "Add A Printer" this will launch the add printer wizard. Choose local printer since you are installing the printer to the computer you are sitting at. Follow through with the rest of the wizard. When you have successfully installed the printer you must share the printer now. Next go to control panel and find your printer under Printers and Other Hardware. Right click the new printer you have just installed and click properties. Click the "Sharing" tab at the top of the window that pops up. Choose the "Share this Printer" option. Now give your printer a share name, or just leave it as what it says by default. Click ok and start printing.
