I just built my first system with a K8V-X MB and I am using a new samsung SATA hard drive. I have got the hard drive showing in the CMOS (BIOS) but when the operating system loads (WIN XP) it gets to starting windows then stops and says it cant find a hard drive. :)
Can any one please help me. :tazz: :) :)

You need to load the sata drivers you got with your motherboard manual. Read your manual all of it all the ones i have seen have a large section at the back dedicated to installing sata hard drives and raid arrays.
